Claire Farrugia’s (1992) practice explores the fluid boundaries between truth, reality, and lies. Through painting, sculpture, and installations, she examines how contradictions shape our understanding of the world, challenging widely accepted narratives and encouraging reflection.

Her research focuses on liminality in the human experience, particularly the shifting nature of truth and falsehood. Engaging with opposing beliefs, she creates work that does not seek resolution but instead invites dialogue, embracing complexity and uncertainty.

Farrugia holds a Masters of Arts in Fine Arts with distinction from the University of Malta’s Department of Art and Art History and a Masters of Pharmacy from the University of Malta.
